Be Mine.
Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching. How about some Love?
Here is a sampling of hearts and heartfelt pieces I’ve created over the years for myself, family and friends.
First up, is a necklace I made using the end-cut of a vintage cloth tape measure. After adding some solder and then metal stamping into it, I further embellished it with a couple of mother of pearl hearts, ribbons and rhinestones, and a heart cutout. One of my favorites that was published several years ago.
Next up, a Kraft box I made to swap with a friend. A simple collage with glass glitter over an image of girls.
This is an up-cycled jewelry box. Also published when I was on the Ice Resin DT back in 2012. If you look closely, you can see Passion floating over Love Guides Us. A fun effect that was “new-ish” at the time.
Moving again to pink, this was another Ice Resin DT piece. A little bit of molding and casting with glitter and color - the textural, gradient heart and the keyhole escutcheon.
One for my DIL with her and my son’s initials. A fun necklace full of LOVE.
Next up, an easy collage ornament project made at my Valentine’s party with my girlfriends and DIL’s.
Lastly, another small collage for a Valentine’s party ornament swap. A sweet little glass vial full of forget me not seeds. Fun.
Valentine’s Day is always a fun holiday to get creative with. I always LOVED Valentine’s Day at school. The whole process of either making Valentines from frilly paper doilies and markers, to making the decorated boxes each year for my desk. Then, waiting to see what I got from everyone. How about you?
Happy February.
Hope your Valentines Day prep is fun in your neck of the woods.
